Life is Active—Find Balance
A year ago Christin Draybuck and Josie Ann Lee decided it was time to stop talking about creating a studio that would focus on therapeutic massage and to start taking the steps to do just that. Ten months later, their dream, dedication and hard work are realized in Balance Massage Therapy.
Balance Massage Therapy’s philosophy is that massage should be affordable, allowing it to be a vital part of a directed wellness plan and not just a luxury. By being open 7 days a week, it is accessible fitting into active lifestyles, and by taking a personal and active approach with clients Balance makes massage adaptable to the clients’ needs. Christin notes that, “Educating our clients on therapeutic massage and giving them them the necessary tools to play an active role in their own wellness, is equally as important as the massage itself.” Christin a graduate and teaching assistant at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy has diligently worked to bring a strong group of therapists to Balance. They specialize in a wide breadth of modalities including neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, sports massage, pre natal, and swedish massage.
“We understand that life is busy, work is stressful, and time and money are not always flowing. But we believe in wellness and we believe in helping people achieve balance in their lives”, say Josie, who runs the marketing and business side of the studio. “We are lucky that we can take our passions, work hard and make a positive impact in people’s lives, and for that we are grateful everyday.”
